‘Experimenting with Geography: See-Hear-Make-Do’ was an international training and networking project funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

It involved:

  • A week-long training workshop dedicated to developing a diverse range of craft skills associated with audio, visual and site-specific methodologies, at different city locations, both inside and out-of-doors. This took place at the University of Edinburgh, May 3rd-7th 2010. It involved hands-on practical workshops led by leading academics and creative practitioners from the sonic and visual arts.
  • The creation of an international network for experimentation with audio, visual and site-specific methods in social and cultural research. The network has an email list which you can join here, and a website.
